“This story makes me think of my own life.” Mrs. A had been listening intensely to the biblical story of the widow who experienced a miracle. The widow in the story was in great debt, but through a miracle of God, oil continued to flow out of a small jar of oil until she had filled many jars with the oil and could pay all her debts back. Tears ran down Mrs. A’s cheeks, and then she shared her story. She‘s a widow with two children, 7 and 1 year old, for whom she’s the lone caretaker. It had been hard for her to make ends meet, let alone to pay back debts. She used to be the pillar of the family. However, because of her illegal dealings she had now ended up in a drug rehabilitation hospital.
The Nampu-Fountain team ministers in this government run rehabilitation hospital weekly and hears many heart breaking stories. “God loves you and wants to provide for all your needs.” This message brings hope and a chance for a new beginning. Many women respond positively and desire to start a new life when they are released from the drug rehabilitation hospital.
